Terms of Use

1. Who we are

FirstTake is a verified casting directory and talent databank connecting new actors with casting teams across Kerala, India. We are currently in private beta. By using FirstTake, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. FirstTake is not available to minors. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

3. No paid auditions

FirstTake has a strict zero-tolerance policy on paid auditions. Casting directors may not request any payment, registration fee, portfolio fee, or any other charge from actors — directly or indirectly. Violations result in immediate permanent removal and may be reported to authorities.

4. Actor protections

• Your phone number is hidden by default. You control who can contact you.
• All contact between actors and casting teams happens inside FirstTake.
• You can revoke access to your profile at any time.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

5. Casting director obligations

Casting accounts require manual approval. By applying for casting access, you agree to:

• Provide only genuine casting opportunities.
• Never charge actors any fee whatsoever.
• Keep all actor data confidential and not share it outside the platform.
• Comply with our casting call guidelines and community standards.

6. Content and media

By uploading photos, videos, or other content to FirstTake, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content to verified users of the platform for the purpose of casting discovery. You retain ownership of your content. You can delete your media at any time.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Creating fake profiles or misrepresenting your identity
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Sharing explicit, offensive, or illegal content
• Using the platform to solicit payments from actors
• Scraping, copying, or redistributing actor data

8. Reporting and enforcement

Use the Report button to flag suspicious activity. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal without refund.

9. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint about content on the platform, another user, or how we have handled your data, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@firsttake.in. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.

10. Limitation of liability

FirstTake is a platform connecting actors and casting teams. We verify casting accounts but cannot guarantee the outcome of any audition or casting process. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from interactions between users outside the platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
